Kenno children chair by Jarvi & Ruoho is an example how recycled cardboard can be transformed into something useful and beautiful. Despite its lightness, durability and versatility, usually corrugated cardboard is not used in final product like furniture. This project is an experimental study how sturdy and lightweight material can be re-recyled as paper, the water based adhesives are used to create its sandwich construction. Kenno children chair comes in flat, it consists of five pieces of cardboard that you can form into a strong structure without any glue or screws. Children can use the surface for drawing or coloring, isn’t this perfect? They don’t have to use your white wall as canvas anymore.
