LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu

In this set, four brave ninjas stand against the evil Lord Garmadon and his Skeleton Army--but those skeletons don't stand a chance. Trained in the ancient martial art of Spinjitzu, Sensei Wu, Kai, Zane, and Nya must find the fabled golden weapons of Ninjago before Garmadon and his soldiers. Fight ninja enemies, travel through different worlds, and use the power of Spinjitzu to help LEGO heroes battle against the forces of evil.

Split the Temple to Release the Fire Dragon

This LEGO set features the Ninjago Fire Temple, a 10-inch-wide and 11-inch-tall set with painted screen windows to pit ninja heroes against their enemies. If defeat seems imminent, kids can pull the Dragon Sword of Fire to unlock the set, and slide it apart to reveal the hidden Fire Dragon.

Standing more than 15 inches wide and 17 inches long, the immense Fire Dragon features fierce black talons, bright orange claws, and large jaws for exciting combat.

Defeat Your Enemies with Dragon's Fire Breath

The fully poseable dragon can rotate its neck to take aim and shoot fireballs to stop Krunsha and Lord Garmadon in their tracks. The easy loading system lets kids quickly fire again and again if under attack. To boost its fighting power, the Fire Dragon's legs, tail, and massive wings fold and bend, so it can lie in wait and fly open when the time is right.

This set comes with 18 weapons, including the Scythe of Quakes, Nun chucks of Lightning, Shurikans of Ice, and Dragon Sword of Fire. Kids can choose between swords, a spear, a thunder bolt, and more as they attempt to restore the balance between good and evil.

What's in the Box

LEGO Ninjago Fire Temple Set (1174 pieces), 7 mini-figures, fire dragon, 18 weapons, and three instruction booklets.

From the Manufacturer

Battle for control of the four Spinjitzu weapons has begun. Sensei Wu, Kai, Zane and Nya need help to keep Lord Garmadon and his evil skeleton army from taking the ultimate Spinjitzu weapon – the Dragon Sword of Fire. As the temple splits into two, the fearsome Fire Dragon emerges to protect the sword by spitting fire at Lord Garmadon. Set also includes Samukai and Kruncha figures, all four golden weapons and 14 other weapons.

the fire temple is a central piece in the lego ninjago series. i think that it comes with 1,176 pieces, about. it comes with 3 assembly books, one for different parts. as you can imagine, assembling this took a few hours. the precision and attention to detail was outstanding! it looks quite real - resembles asian architecture. this one has a phenomenal moving part - when you pull up on the sword (kind of like the arthurian legend), it pushes down on a lever which snaps open the two sides of the building - thus revealing - the fire breathing dragon! the dragon here appears larger than the solo dragon. it has attachments on each "feather" so that 8 characters can be attached. of course, there's a gong, plastic flames, lots of characters - good and bad. this is one of the very best "bangs for the buck" in the lego world! this is one that seems designed to really be played with (of course the architectural pieces don't seem to be). beware, there are so many pieces, some novel, that it falls apart quickly. thus, if you want to play with it, or for that matter, even move it, i think that it's wise to glue together the main structure of the building and the dragon - so that essentially moving parts aren't glued but stationary parts are glued in order that they don't fall apart. i give everything that i review a grade, and i believe that the ninjago fire temple deserves an "A+". i recommend this for lego builders who have an interest in the ninjago series. it's price has come down a little bit ($10) in recent weeks and it might come down further, thus enabling you to get an outstanding set at a more affordable price. if price isn't an issue for you, then i recommend it whole heartedly.

this is your standard large Lego set. It has some fun features, like a floor that moves/opens up. Although it shipped from south Korea, it arrived earlier than it said it would. However, it was very pricey.

Oh Ninjago. You have consumed my children's minds and bedroom floor space.
And I kind of don't mind.

This set is really astoundingly beautiful once it's assembled. The temple slides open and closed and the dragon perches on the second level and it's really an impressive display!
It's somewhat challenging to put together, but is so worth it! I love everything about it, right down the cherry trees in bloom!
My children have been obsessed with Ninjago since it first came out and when they received this set I nearly lost my hearing from the shrieks of joy. If your child - or you! - are a fan of the series this is a set you need to invest in. It's magnificent and I can't overstate that.
Also impressive in size when completed as well, so make sure you have a good chunk of table space or a lot of shelf space to keep it!

It's pricey, but the amount if entertainment and joy this has brought my family truly is worth every penny!

This is an amazing building set, bought it for my Granddaughter which is 8years old, thought it would take her forever to build, however had it put together in one day, the picture instructions step by step was awesome, it helps kids build self asteem, as I did that?? my Granddaughter was amazed at herself that she could do this with no problem. This product is not too easy and not too hard as the step by step pictures are a huge help, she so enjoyed tackeling this project. the out of reach was not so out of reach for her. she has learned that she is a hands on child from this experience.

I gave this to my 8-year-old nephew for Christmas and sat on the floor with him as he began putting it together. I was able to stay while he put the dragon together. The final product was a detailed and stunning bit of Lego artistry!

Loved that each step in the building process has a matching bag of parts. Helps tremendously to keep down the possibility of losing pieces by the end of the build.

The directions were meticulous and my nephew worked patiently through each step. Highly recommend this set for a kid who loves Legos and has the patience to see a project of this magnitude to the end. The finished project(s) was a masterpiece!

This review is not based on product play as yet but on its contents: my son follows Ninjago, not me, and in casual conversation (AFTER we bought this set for his upcoming birthday, of course) he mentions the Fire Temple is "old" Ninjago. That is, it has the "old" skeleton villains, not the "new" or transformed or whatever snake villains with their "cool" outfits, weapons, etc. Thought that was a detail would-be purchasers might want to know.

We still have not put together the entire temple, it's a lot of pieces and very time consuming. But it was what my son wanted.

I bought this for my 6 year old son who is obsessed with lego. It took him a while but he built this all himself and, in his view, it is the best Ninjago set he has (and he has many). It does feel more stable than some of the other sets so hopefully it will last a while as it is undergoing some pretty heavy role-play at the moment!
